On Saturday, Concord Christian didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Dickson County, but they still walked away with a 54-49 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Concord Christian.
Dickson County lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Keely Webb, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds. Webb scored a full 40.8% of Dickson County's points, the fourth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jenna Saine, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 12 rebounds.
Even though they lost, Dickson County were smashing the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Concord Christian's victory bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Dickson County, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Concord Christian will take on Christian Academy of Knoxville at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Christian Academy of Knoxville will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak. As for Dickson County, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against West Creek at 6:00 p.m. West Creek comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
