The Ben Lomond Scots will be staying on the road on Wednesday to face off against the Roy Royals at 7:00 p.m. on December 20th. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Even though Granger scored an imposing 60 points on Tuesday, Ben Lomond still came out on top. Ben Lomond walked away with a 72-60 victory over Granger. Winning is a bit easier when you work as a team to rack up 11 more assists than your opponent, as Ben Lomond did.
Jonathan Alcarez was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 28 points and 14 rebounds. Those 28 points set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Hunter Christensen, who scored ten points along with four steals.
Meanwhile, Roy earned a 57-46 win over Minico on Saturday. That looming 57-46 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Roy yet this season.
Ben Lomond's win ended a 11-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-5. As for Roy, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-4.
Things could have been worse for Ben Lomond, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 64-50 loss to Roy when the teams last played back in December of 2022. Can Ben Lomond avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
