The Prince of Peace Eagles will face off against the Giddings Lonestar Southeast Mustangs at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Prince of Peace and three for Giddings Lonestar Southeast.
Last Friday just wasn't the day for Prince of Peace's offense. They were dealt a 60-0 loss at the hands of Hill Country Christian School of Austin. While losing is never fun, Prince of Peace can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 197th, while Hill Country Christian School of Austin is ranked 40th).
Meanwhile, Giddings Lonestar Southeast pushed their score all the way to 49 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 53-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of Saint Mary's Hall. Despite running the score up even higher than they did two weeks ago (36), Giddings Lonestar Southeast still had to take the loss.
Prince of Peace's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Giddings Lonestar Southeast, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 6-3.
