Northwestern has gone 8-2 against Rock Hill recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Trojans will head out on the road to square off against the Bearcats at 7:30 p.m. One thing working in Northwestern's favor is that they have posted at least 31 points in their last four matchups.
On Friday, Northwestern strolled past Fort Mill with points to spare, taking the game 56-40. The win continues a trend for the Trojans in their matchups with the Yellow Jackets: they've now won seven in a row.
Xavier Means continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 182 yards and six TDs while picking up 8.7 yards per carry, and also throwing for 267 yards and one touchdown while completing 76.3% of his passes. Those 182 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. 103 of Means' passing yards were hauled in by Evan Harrison.

Northwestern's defensive line stepped up as well, laying out the QB eight times. It was truly a group effort as Kamerin McFadden, Jeremiah Cannon, Malik Darby, and Kobe Neely picked up two apiece. With that strong performance, Darby is now averaging an impressive 5.4 total tackles per game. Northwestern received some extra help from Nolan McKinnon, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.
Meanwhile, Rock Hill didn't have too much trouble with Nation Ford on Friday as they won 30-14.
Northwestern better focus on containing Devan Erby and Jonah Young as the pair were huge in Rock Hill's win. Erby rushed for 107 yards and one score, while Young threw for 147 yards and one TD while completing 78.6% of his passes.
Rock Hill was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 212 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.
Rock Hill didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Kimari Barber and KT Gill-McDonald. Rock Hill is undefeated when Barber posts one or more interceptions, but 2-3 otherwise.
Rock Hill picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 5-3. As for Northwestern, their record is now 7-1.
Everything came up roses for Northwestern against Rock Hill in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 55-7 win. In that contest, the Trojans amassed a halftime lead of 48-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
