Baseball Recap: Covington Comes Up Short

Covington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Blum Bobcats, falling 15-3. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Bobcats this season, with their most recent loss being a 7-4 defeat on Tuesday.

Jeremiah Cunningham was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged two or more in each of the last six games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Colton Nickell, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases.

Covington's loss dropped their record down to 8-7-2. As for Blum, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-7.

As of now, neither Covington nor the Bobcats have any future games scheduled.
