It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Wolfe City Wolves had no problem doing just that on Friday. They blew past Harleton 48-14 on the road. Wolfe City might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won five contests by 25 points or more this season.
Hd Davis was a one-man wrecking crew for Wolfe City as he rushed for 155 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 8.6 yards per carry. Davis has been hot recently, having posted 100 or more rushing yards the last three times he's played. Cayden Herron also helped out with an impressive 107 receiving yards.
On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Wolfe City's defense and their four sacks. Leading the way was Jadon Forniglia and his two sacks.
The win makes it two in a row for Wolfe City and bumps their season record up to 9-2. As for Harleton, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-4.
Wolfe City will square off against Timpson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Timpson's favor is that they have now posted big point totals every time they've taken the field this season. Harleton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
