The Tucson High Magnet School Badgers came tearing into Tuesday's contest with 15 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 33.5 points) and they left with even more momentum. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Sunnyside 75-45 at home. Tucson High Magnet School has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 matchups by 30 points or more this season.
Among those leading the charge was Adam Armadillo, who went 7 for 9 from beyond the arc en route to 27 points and 0 assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was CJ Porter, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds.
Tucson High Magnet School pushed their record up to 20-1 with that win, which was their ninth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 81.2 points per game. As for Sunnyside, their loss dropped their record down to 11-13.
Tucson High Magnet School will head out on the road to take on Rincon/University at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Rincon/University will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Arizona Rankings (they are ranked 184th, while Tucson High Magnet School is ranked 25th). As for Sunnyside, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Tucson High Magnet School at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
