South Carolina School for the Deaf & Blind had to suffer through a rough 28-0 loss at the hands of New Hope Leadership Academy. South Carolina School for the Deaf & Blind was already down big by the end of the third quarter and they stayed that way after failing to score in the fourth.
Meanwhile, Carolina W put the finishing touches on their fourth blowout victory of the season on Friday. They blew past Copper Basin 58-26 on the road. The high flying offensive effort was a huge turnaround for Carolina W's six-point performance the matchup before.
Jericus Mackey got back to being his usual excellent self, as he rushed for 277 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 17.3 yards per carry. Mackey really tore up the turf during one magnificent 85-yard run. The team also got some help courtesy of Mike Barnett , who rushed for 41 yards and three touchdowns.
Carolina W's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB six times. The heavy lifting was done by Titus Hendricks and Xzavion Howard who racked up five sacks between them.
New Hope Leadership Academy's victory bumped their season record to 5-2-1 while South Carolina School for the Deaf & Blind's defeat dropped theirs to 1-5.
