The 21st Century Charter COUGARS will head out on the road to face off against the Hanover Central Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in 21st Century Charter's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three matches.
21st Century Charter pushed their score all the way to 72 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of Hammond Central by a score of 74-72. Despite running the score up even higher than they did on Tuesday (64), 21st Century Charter still had to take the loss.
Despite the loss, 21st Century Charter had strong showings from Ron Mosely, who scored 24 points along with four steals, and Terrence Hayes, who scored 21 points along with eight rebounds and five steals. Hanover Central has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matchups by 30 points or more this season. They took their contest at home on Thursday with ease, bagging a 71-34 victory over Whiting. Given Hanover Central's advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 42nd, while Whiting is ranked 442nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
