The Norview Pilots have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four games by 20 points or more this season. They blew past Booker T. Washington 58-15 at home. Given Norview's advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 62nd, while Booker T. Washington is ranked 297th), the result on Wednesday wasn't entirely unexpected.
Kiyah Fitchett continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 16 points along with five steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Norview's points. Another player making a difference was Jamyah Parker, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds.
Norview has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season. As for Booker T. Washington, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Norview has the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Churchland at 5:30 p.m. on January 12th. Churchland is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Booker T. Washington, they will be playing at home against Granby at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. Granby is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
