The Master's Academy Patriots's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They fell to Calvary Chapel Academy 30-24. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Master's Academy in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now lost four in a row.
Despite the loss, Master's Academy still got an impressive performance from Carissa Hennessey, who scored seven points along with 14 rebounds and five steals. Hennessey has been hot recently, having posted nine or more rebounds the last eight times she's played. Another player making a difference was Grace Holderman, who scored eight points along with nine rebounds and two steals.
Master's Academy's loss was their 19th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-20. As for Calvary Chapel Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 7-8 record this season.
Master's Academy will head out on the road to challenge the Falcons at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Florida Prep comes in on a streak of failing to score more than six points in their last seven games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse. As for Calvary Chapel Academy, they have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome the Lions at 5:30 p.m. on February 2nd.
