Jackson County extended their winning streak  to three  on Thursday, bumping their season record up to 7-8 in the process. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Breathitt County Bobcats  a   6-0 shutout. Six seems to be a good number for the Generals as the  squad scooped up a  victory with the same number of  runs in their previous game.
As for Breathitt County, their loss was  their fifth straight at home, which  dropped their record down to 4-9. Having soared to a lofty ten  runs in the game before, their shutout was a dramatic turnaround.
 For Breathitt County's part, they saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Alexis Pelfrey, who  went 2-for-3 with one  double.  Bella Napier also deserves some recognition as  she  snagged her first  stolen base of the season.
 Coming up, Jackson County will venture away from home to  take on Lee County  at 6:00  p.m.  on Friday. The Bobcats have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 16.14  runs per game on average), something the Generals will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Breathitt County, they will look to defend their home field  on Monday against Perry County Central  at 6:00  p.m.
