 Santa Clara's loss dropped their record down to 8-13. As for Fremont, their victory  ended  a  seven-game drought on the road  and  puts them at 5-15.
 Santa Clara will  take on Saratoga at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Fremont, they will look to defend their home field  on Wednesday against Homestead at 4:00  p.m. Homestead's pitching crew has only allowed 3.2  runs per game  this season, so Fremont's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
