Basketball Recap: Hilton Head Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Hilton Head Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They were beaten by the Trinity Collegiate Titans 74-30. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 48-25 back in January.

Despite the defeat, Hilton Head Christian Academy saw an underclassman step up: freshman Sissy Thompson dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 rebounds. Those 17 points gave Thompson a new career-high. Anna Williams also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Hilton Head Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Trinity Collegiate, their victory was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 17-2.

Hilton Head Christian Academy will host Patrick Henry Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Trinity Collegiate, they will welcome Camden at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Trinity Collegiate has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 208 points over their last three matchups.
