On Tuesday, Gateway Charter humbled Family Christian Academy with a 72-13 victory. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 47-6.
Gateway Charter's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Amelia Bien-Aime led the charge by scoring 14 points along with 7 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Katelyn Rosario, who scored 12 points along with 3 steals.
The victory makes it two in a row for Gateway Charter and bumps their season record up to 2-0. As for Family Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gateway Charter will take on Oasis at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Family Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Gulf Coast HEAT at 6:00 p.m. on December 7th.
