The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Lowcountry Leadership in their matchups with Baptist Hill: they've now lost eight in a row.
Rickey Middleton Jr was his usual excellent self, dropping a triple-double on 22 points, ten rebounds, and 12 steals for Baptist Hill. Middleton Jr is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Jaden Douglas, who scored 19 points along with six rebounds and five steals.
Lowcountry Leadership's loss was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-15. As for Baptist Hill, their win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-6.
Lowcountry Leadership won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Charleston Math & Science at 7:30 p.m. on January 17th. As for Baptist Hill, they will head out on the road to challenge Military Magnet Academy at 8:30 p.m. on Friday.
