It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Liberty Hill Panthers had no problem doing just that on Friday. They took down the Warriors 28-14. The victory was familiar territory for Liberty Hill who now have four in a row.
It was another big night for Noah Long, who rushed for 181 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 8.6 yards per carry. He has been hot recently, having posted 100 or more rushing yards the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Ben Carter, who rushed for 119 yards.
Several Warriors players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jake South, who threw for 356 yards and two touchdowns. South hasn't dropped below 300 passing yards for four straight games. Isaiah Champagne was another key contributor, picking up 164 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Liberty Hill has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. As for Pieper, their loss dropped their record down to 12-2.
Liberty Hill will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Port Neches-Groves at 7:00 p.m. on December 8th. Port Neches-Groves will be looking to extend their current 13-game winning streak. Pieper does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
