Hannah-Pamplico is on a three-game streak of home losses, and Carvers Bay a seven-game streak of away losses dating back to last season. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Friday. The Hannah-Pamplico Raiders will look to defend their home field against the Carvers Bay Bears at 6:00 p.m.
Things were looking good for Hannah-Pamplico after they put the first points on the board on Tuesday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They took a 10-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of East Clarendon.
Meanwhile, Carvers Bay won against Hemingway on Tuesday with 15 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. Carvers Bay didn't even let Hemingway on the board, marking Carvers Bay's second-straight 15-0 shutout.
Carson Lewis made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the first time he hasn't allowed a single hit since back in April of 2024. He was even better at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 2-for-3. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March of 2024.
In other pitching news, Landon Marsh and Brantley Jones dominated on the mound. Marsh tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits, while Jones tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Those zero hits allowed gave Jones a new career-low.
Back at the plate, Wyatt Dennis was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two stolen bases, and four RBI. Another player making a difference was Bryant Garman, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-1.
Carvers Bay always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .773. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Carvers Bay's win bumped their record up to 2-7. As for Hannah-Pamplico, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.
Hannah-Pamplico was able to grind out a solid victory over Carvers Bay in their previous matchup back in March of 2024, winning 5-0. Does Hannah-Pamplico have another victory up their sleeve, or will Carvers Bay turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
