That's the first time this season that Michels pulled down eight or more rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Lily Holloman, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Victory Christian Academy came up short against St. Petersburg Catholic on Thursday and fell 36-29.
Victory Christian Academy's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Bianca Barroso, who scored 18 points along with six steals and five rebounds, and Jenna West who scored five points along with eight steals. Barroso is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season.
Foundation Academy's win bumped their record up to 10-7. As for Victory Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 12-6.
Foundation Academy ended up a good deal behind Victory Christian Academy when the teams last played back in February of 2020, losing 49-32.
