The Willow Canyon Wildcats will face off against the Sunrise Mountain Mustangs at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Willow Canyon has given up an average of 27.3  points per game this season, but Friday's  game will give them a chance to turn things around.

 Despite their  loss, Willow Canyon saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays.  Justin Garr Jr, who threw for 261 yards and one  TD, was perhaps the best of all. A healthy portion of that aerial production (112 yards to be exact)  went to  Aiden Fuerstenberg.
Meanwhile, Sunrise Mountain suffered their closest  defeat since September 13, 2024 on Friday. They fell just short of Yuma Catholic by a score of  25-22.
 Like Willow Canyon, Sunrise Mountain lost despite seeing results from several players.  Tanner Austin led the charge by picking up 104 receiving yards and one  touchdown.  Logan Russell was another key player, picking up 88 receiving yards and one  score.
 Sunrise Mountain's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Willow Canyon, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.
 Friday's   contest might be decided in the trenches. Willow Canyon has been excellent on the ground this season,  having  averaged 158.5  rushing yards per game. It's a different story for Sunrise Mountain, though, as  they've been averaging  only 63  rushing yards. How will they fare against such a dominant running game?
