The Spruce Creek Hawks will be playing in front of their home fans against the Windermere Prep Lakers at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Spruce Creek focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 26 on Thursday.
Last Thursday, Spruce Creek came up short against Bishop Moore and fell 53-45.
The losing side was boosted by Yanija Lawson, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 16 rebounds. She has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last 12 times she's played. Paige Langley was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Windermere Prep entered their tilt with Wekiva with ten consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with 11. Windermere Prep enjoyed a cozy 47-28 win over Wekiva on Friday.
Spruce Creek's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-6. As for Windermere Prep, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-3.
