Rockridge is 6-1 against Rock Falls since May of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. Rockridge will square off against Rock Falls at 10:00 a.m. Rockridge is coming into the match hot, having won their last four games.
On Thursday, Rockridge narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Sherrard 6-5.

Taylor Dieterich made a big impact no matter where she played. She struck out six batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off eight hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-3.
In other batting news, Estellah Bognar was excellent, going 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Kaycee Price, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Rock Falls never let their opponents score on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 13-0 margin over Lutheran. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Rockets.
Like Rockridge, Rock Falls also got a great game from a two-way player: Zoey Silva. She looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out seven over five innings pitched. Silva was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Maddison Morgan, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3. She continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Korah Hosler also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
Rock Falls picked up their first home win, bumping their record up to 3-8. As for Rockridge, their record is now 6-1.
Rockridge took their victory against Rock Falls in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 13-0 score. Does Rockridge have another victory up their sleeve, or will Rock Falls turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
