ThunderRidge has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will take on the Highlands Ranch Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Colorado (ThunderRidge is ranked 33rd, while Highlands Ranch is ranked 27th).
Last Thursday, ThunderRidge ended up a good deal behind Legend and lost 56-41. ThunderRidge has struggled against Legend recently, as their matchup on Thursday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Despite their loss, ThunderRidge saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Becca Winton, who scored nine points, was perhaps the best of all. Another player making a difference was Alexis Baker, who scored nine points along with five rebounds.
Meanwhile, Highlands Ranch pushed their score all the way to 65 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 76-65 hit to the loss column at the hands of Rock Canyon.
ThunderRidge has been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-6 record this season. As for Highlands Ranch, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-5.
ThunderRidge couldn't quite finish off Highlands Ranch when the teams last played back in January of 2023 and fell 37-34. Can ThunderRidge avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
