Gridley waltzed into their matchup  on Thursday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They blew past the Truckee Wolverines 14-4. The Bulldogs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Wolverines, too.
 Reese Stevens made a splash while hitting and pitching. She  tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off   three  hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't  given up  more than one  earned run in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate,  going 1-for-4 with three  runs and one  stolen base.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Delanie Cloyd, who  fired off two  home runs, six  RBI,  and four  runs while going 3-for-3. Those  six  RBI gave  her a new career-high.  Avery Mendenhall was another key player,  going 2-for-4 with four  RBI, two  doubles,  and one  run.
 Gridley  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .562. They are 12-1 when  they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Gridley pushed their record up to 13-4 with the  win, which was their third straight  on the road. The  road  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 16.0 runs over those games. As for Truckee, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost eight of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-16 record  this season.
Gridley will have a chance to go back-to-back against Truckee: the pair will be back at it again later today.
