Basketball Recap: Winston School of Dallas Victorious

It was a Battle of the Birds when Winston School of Dallas duked it out withFairhill on Tuesday. In a tight contest that could have gone either way, the Winston School of Dallas Eagles made off with a 43-42 victory over the Fairhill Falcons. That's two games straight that the Eagles have won by just one point.

Winston School of Dallas' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Zane Purdy led the charge by putting up 18 points in addition to five assists and five steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which Purdy has scored at least a third of Winston School of Dallas' points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jj Johnson, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten boards.

Purdy wasn't the only one working in the assists department: Winston School of Dallas was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in February of 2024.

The win made it two in a row for Winston School of Dallas and bumps their season record up to 6-15. As for Fairhill, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Winston School of Dallas has already played their next matchup (against Providence Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Fairhill will venture away from home to face off against Westwood at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Fairhill has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
