The Jordan Christian Prep Seahawks waltzed into their game on Friday with ten straight wins but they left with 11. They came out on top against Excel Christian Academy by a score of 61-51. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Jordan Christian Prep also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2023.
Jordan Christian Prep's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Amelia Williams led the charge by scoring 25 points along with seven rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which Williams has scored at least a third of Jordan Christian Prep's points. Another player making a difference was Delyana Morris, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 21 rebounds.
Excel Christian Academy's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Anyla Parker, who dropped a double-double on 26 points and 14 rebounds, and Soleil DeJesus who scored 23 points along with six rebounds and two steals. Parker hasn't dropped below 15 points for 13 straight games.
Jordan Christian Prep pushed their record up to 16-6 with that win, which was their seventh straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.4 points per game. As for Excel Christian Academy, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-10 record this season.
Jordan Christian Prep will head out on the road to face off against DME Academy Blue at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
