Hillsboro has gone a perfect 3-0 against Lawson recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Burros will square off against the Lightning at 7:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Lawson will be up against a hot Hillsboro team: the squad just extended their winning streak to five. The Burros never let Antioch get on the board and left with a 14-0 win on Wednesday. The contest marked the Burros' most dominant victory of the season.

Clayton Jenkins made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Cyrus Conner, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2. He also put up a triple, which was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Drake McDowell, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.
Hillsboro always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .731. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Lawson was not the first on the board on Wednesday, but they got there more often. They were the clear victors by a 7-1 margin over East Nashville Magnet.
Luke Adams was excellent, scoring a run while going 1-for-2. Hut Hargrove was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
Hillsboro's win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-5. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Lawson, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-8 record this season.
Thursday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Hillsboro hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .315. However, it's not like Lawson struggles in that department as they've averaged .334. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Hillsboro took their win against Lawson in their previous meeting back in March by a conclusive 7-1 score. Do the Burros have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Lightning turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
