Kennedy Catholic found their leader in underclassman Gabriela King, who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds. Another player making a difference was Riley Burns, who scored 12 points along with three steals.
Decatur's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tamairah Allen, who scored ten points. Jeralynn Sevaaetasi was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Kennedy Catholic's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-9. As for Decatur, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-5.

As for Decatur, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Kentridge at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Kentridge has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
