Basketball Recap: Victory Christian Comes Up Short

If Victory Christian was feeling good fresh off their 55-33 takedown of Lighthouse Christian Academy last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Victory Christian Vikings were beaten by the Grace Christian Lions 81-19 on Friday. The Vikings were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 37-10.

Several Vikings players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Gracyn Barrow, who went 7 of 16 on her way to 19 points and five steals. Barrow's evening made it seven games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points.

Victory Christian moved to 6-2 with that loss, which also ended their six-game winning streak. As for Grace Christian, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-1.

Victory Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 40-26 win against Community Christian Academy on the 25th. As for Grace Christian, they will host Victory Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Grace Christian's defense has only allowed 27 points per game this season, so Victory Christian's offense will have their work cut out for them.
