The Life Center Academy Warriors's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their third straight loss. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 73-59 to Cristo Rey Philadelphia, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Several Warriors players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Mekhi Robertson, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds. Elijah Brown was another key contributor, scoring 16 points.
Life Center Academy's loss dropped their record down to 24-12. As for Cristo Rey Philadelphia, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-5.
Life Center Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on the Eagles at 5:30 p.m. on February 16th. Rock Creek Christian Academy presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Warriors in their respective states (the Eagles are ranked 27th in Maryland, while the Warriors are ranked 129th in New Jersey). Cristo Rey Philadelphia does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
