It was a good run, but Westside unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Monday. They lost 12-2 to the Woodruff Wolverines. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Rams, who until this match were averaging 3.43 runs allowed.

Will Thomas made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two RBI, and one double.

Westside's defeat dropped their record down to 16-7. As for Woodruff, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-7 record this season.

Westside will welcome T.L. Hanna at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Rams 3.4, the Yellow Jackets 3) so any runs scored will be well earned. Woodruff does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
