 Daifer Moreta was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. He looked comfortable on the mound,   tossing six innings while giving up just one earned  (and four unearned) runs off   seven  hits. What's more,  he gave up only one  walk, the fewest he's  had since back in April of 2024. He was also big at the plate,  going 3-for-4 with two  doubles and two  RBI.
 Moreta wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Durell Holden, who  went 1-for-3 with one  run.
As for Whitehall, they have  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record  this season. The  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 7.9 runs over those games.
 On Whitehall's side,  Nik Christman looked comfortable as he  struck out six batters over  three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   two  hits (and only one walk). Christman has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't  given up  more than one  earned run in five consecutive appearances.
 Looking ahead, William Allen will venture away from home to  take on Louis E. Dieruff  at 4:00  p.m.  on Monday. The Huskies have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.17  runs per game on average), something the Canaries will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Whitehall, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Blue Mountain  at 4:00  p.m.  on Monday.
