The Christian School at Castle Hills has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. After both having extra time off, The Christian School at Castle Hills Eagles and the Lutheran Mustangs will shake off the cobwebs and face off against one another at 6:00 p.m. on January 23rd. Hopefully The Christian School at Castle Hills focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 last Friday.
Last Friday, The Christian School at Castle Hills was able to grind out a solid win over New Braunfels Christian Academy, taking the game 48-35.
It was another big night for Peyton Brown, who dropped a triple-double on 11 points, 15 rebounds, and 11 blocks. She is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last six games she's played. Emily Eason was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with six rebounds.
Meanwhile, Lutheran came up short against Gloria Deo Academy last Thursday and fell 49-40.
The Christian School at Castle Hills pushed their record up to 10-12 with that victory, which was their sixth straight at home. As for Lutheran, their loss dropped their record down to 3-12.
The Christian School at Castle Hills came up short against Lutheran in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, falling 67-54. Can The Christian School at Castle Hills avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
