They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with  a  6-5  victory over the Hardin Valley Academy Hawks.  Oak Ridge saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Kaylee Hickman, who  went 2-for-4 with one  stolen base and one  run. Hickman has been hot recently, having  posted  at least one  stolen base the last three times she's  played.  Brenna Bradshaw also deserves some recognition as  she  hit her first  triple of the season.
Oak Ridge's victory bumped their record up to 5-13. As for Hardin Valley Academy,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 5-19.
 Oak Ridge and Hardin Valley Academy could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage  in the MaxPreps Tennessee Rankings. The Wildcats will  face off against  Anderson County  at 6:00  p.m.  on Monday with a big rank  disadvantage  (217 vs. 72). Meanwhile,  Hardin Valley Academy (ranked 204th) will meet Powell (ranked 44th)  at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
