Sadly, the Our Lady of the Rosary Lions are still looking for their first win of the season after 13 games. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 38-17 walloping at the hands of Richard Winn Academy on Tuesday. Our Lady of the Rosary has struggled against Richard Winn Academy recently, as their matchup on Tuesday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Richard Winn Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Delaney Young, who scored eight points along with six steals and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Meagan Brigman, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Our Lady of the Rosary's loss dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Richard Winn Academy, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-6.
Our Lady of the Rosary does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Richard Winn Academy, they and Cambridge Academy will face off at 3:30 p.m. on February 9th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Richard Winn Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Tuesday.
