After flying high against West-Oak last Tuesday, Belton-Honea Path came back down to earth. The Belton-Honea Path Bears took a 65-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pendleton Bulldogs on Wednesday. The Bears' loss signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.
Pendleton found their leader in sophomore Samuel Ross, who went 5 of 11 on his way to 26 points and five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Ross has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Michael Barnett, who went 7 for 13 en route to 18 points and six boards.
Belton-Honea Path's defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 10-9. As for Pendleton, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 7-12.
