Union County won the last time they faced Broome, and Eric Gray did his part to make sure it happened again. The Union County Yellowjackets blew past the Broome Centurions 56-33 on Friday thanks in part to Gray, who went 8 of 10 on his way to 19 points in addition to five assists and five rebounds. His evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

Despite the loss, Broome still got an impressive performance from Jaiden Thomas, who posted eight points and eight boards. That's the most points Thomas has posted since back in December of 2024.

Union County's record now sits at 12-10. As for Broome, their loss dropped their record down to 10-12.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Union County will head out to face off against Chapman at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Union County is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56.8 points per game this season. As for Broome, they will venture away from home to take on Greer Middle College at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Broome also hasn't been messing around on offense: they've averaged 53.7 points per game.
