Last Monday, Mater Lakes Academy faced Riviera Prep in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Mater Lakes Academy took a 63-49 bruising from Riviera Prep.
The losing side was boosted by Christian Reid, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 rebounds. He has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last five times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Khanye Moss, who scored 12 points.
Meanwhile, Orlando Christian Prep beat Rockledge 51-42 on Thursday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Orlando Christian Prep.
Mater Lakes Academy's loss dropped their record down to 14-7. As for Orlando Christian Prep, their win bumped their record up to 17-3.
