Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask Plainwell). They blew past the Godwin Heights Wolverines 16-1 on Thursday. The  victory was a breath of fresh air for the Trojans as it put an end to their six-game losing streak.
 Samantha McDaniel was a  major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she  pitched two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   three  hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box,  going 3-for-4 with four  runs and two  RBI. Those  four  runs gave  her a new career-high.
 In other batting news,  Paityn Holbrook was  incredible,  going 3-for-4 with four  RBI, two  runs,  and one  stolen base. Those  three  hits gave  her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of  Sophie Munch, who  got on base  in four of her five plate appearances with four  runs and two  RBI.
 Plainwell  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .595. That's the best  OBP they've posted all season.
Plainwell's win bumped their record up to 5-20. As for Godwin Heights, they dropped their record down to 0-7 with the  defeat, which was their sixth straight  at home dating back to last season.
Plainwell will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Wolverines: the pair will be back at it again later today.
