Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Woodstown Wolverines walked away with it. They came out on top against Woodbury by a score of 21-14 on Friday. The win was familiar territory for Woodstown who now have four in a row.
It was another big night for Bryce Belinfanti, who rushed for 182 yards and a touchdown. Belinfanti hasn't dropped below 100 rushing yards for seven straight games. Max Webb was another key contributor, rushing for 63 yards and a touchdown.
Woodstown has yet to lose a contest at home this season, leaving them with a 9-2 record. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 30.2 points per game. As for Woodbury, their loss dropped their record down to 6-4.
Woodstown has the luxury of staying home another week and will welcome Glassboro at 7:00 p.m. on November 17th. Glassboro will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak. Woodbury will have plenty of time to ponder what went wrong as they've got a bye scheduled next week. After, they'll take on Gateway Regional at 5:30 p.m. on November 22nd. Gateway Regional will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps New Jersey Rankings (they are ranked 288th, while Woodbury is ranked 64th).
