Baseball Recap: Keystone Heights Has No Trouble Against Trinity Catholic

Keystone Heights extended their postseason success on Thursday against Trinity Catholic. They put the hurt on the Celtics with a sharp 12-5 win. The result was nothing new for the Indians, who have now won 12 games by seven runs or more so far this season.

Destin Harnage and Austin Smith did most of the damage at the plate: Harnage went 3-for-4 with three runs and three RBI, while Smith went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI and one run. Those four RBI gave Smith a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrew Wilson, who went 1-for-4 with three runs.

Keystone Heights was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .455. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

The victory made it two in a row for Keystone Heights and bumps their season record up to 19-7. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.5 runs over those games. As for Trinity Catholic, they moved to 10-17 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

As of now, neither Keystone Heights nor the Celtics have any future games scheduled.
