New Castle suffered a rough 64-39 loss at the hands of Wapahani. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for New Castle in their matchups with Wapahani: they've now lost three in a row.
New Castle's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Colin Taylor, who scored 11 points, and Isaac Madden who scored ten points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Madden has scored all season.
Wapahani was led to victory by Camden Bell and Isaac Andrews. Bell scored 21 points, while Andrews scored 24 points along with four steals. That makes it eight consecutive games in which Andrews has scored at least a third of Wapahani's points. Another player making a difference was Nick Cook, who scored five points along with five rebounds.
New Castle's defeat dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Wapahani, they pushed their record up to 13-1 with that victory, which was their 15th straight at home.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. New Castle will take on Morristown at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Wapahani, they will be playing at home against Randolph Southern at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Randolph Southern has now lost nine straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 21.
