The Fort Bend Clements Rangers put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 47-35 win over Westlake. The score was all tied up 17-17 at the break, but Fort Bend Clements was the better team in the second half.
Leading Fort Bend Clements to victory were Divine Ugochukwu and Joshua Clark. Ugochukwu scored 11 points along with nine assists and three steals, while Clark almost dropped a triple-double on 11 points, nine rebounds, and nine blocks. Those nine blocks set a new season-high mark for him. Nedum Chiadika was another key contributor, scoring six points along with five rebounds.
Fort Bend Clements' victory bumped their record up to 18-0. As for Westlake, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-6.
Fort Bend Clements and Fort Bend Hightower will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 3rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Fort Bend Hightower is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road. As for Westlake, they will face off against Bowie at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bowie will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 99th, while Westlake is ranked 27th).
