Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Gray Collegiate Academy couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They took a blow against the North Augusta Yellow Jackets on Wednesday, falling 49-20. The War Eagles' loss signaled the end of their eight-game winning streak.

Despite the loss, Gray Collegiate Academy still got an impressive performance from Kadence Walker-Lee, who posted six points and eight rebounds.

Celena Grant was her usual excellent self, putting up 12 points along with six boards and five assists for North Augusta. Grant is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last seven games she's played. Another player making a difference was Ashley Walker, who shot 44% from the field to rack up 17 points and five rebounds.

Gray Collegiate Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 17-7. As for North Augusta, they pushed their record up to 28-1 with the win, which was their tenth straight at home.

Gray Collegiate Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for North Augusta, they will take on Lower Richland at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. Lower Richland will roll in looking for their 16th straight victory, something North Augusta surely won't give up without a fight.
