After five games on the road, Pittsburg is heading back home. They will take on the Heritage Patriots at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Pittsburg has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 1,531 points over their last 20 contests.
Pittsburg put the finishing touches on their 11th blowout victory of the season on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Freedom 86-50 on the road. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 47-26.
Kayshaun Hunte was his usual excellent self, scoring 21 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeremiah Collins, who scored 11 points.
Meanwhile, Heritage scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They walked away with a 74-61 win over Deer Valley. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Heritage found their leader in underclassman Brady Lockrem, who scored 22 points. Austin Beltram was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Pittsburg is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 18-5 record this season. As for Heritage, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-15.
Pittsburg took their win against the Patriots in their previous meeting back in January by a conclusive 71-47. Does Pittsburg have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Patriots turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
