If Holly Springs were expecting to get some payback for the 7-36 loss against Independence the last time they met, then they were left disappointed. Holly Springs took a 12-22 hit to the loss column at the hands of Independence.
The defeat dropped Holly Springs' record to 5-3. The win got Independence back to even at 4-4.
Holly Springs will look to defend their home turf next week against North Panola at 7:00 PM. Backed by four consecutive blowout victories, North Panola are looking for someone to give them a challenge; hopefully Holly Springs will step up. As for Independence, they will face off against Palmer. Unlike Independence, Palmer will be limping in after taking a loss.
