 In other batting news,  Ayden Montes was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with two  triples, two  stolen bases,  and three  runs. Those  two  triples gave  him a new career-high.  Pershing County  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 15  hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Sierra Lutheran only managed two  hits.
Pershing County's victory  ended  a  five-game drought at home  and  bumped them up to 7-16. As for Sierra Lutheran,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 7-16-1.
