Breckenridge is a perfect 4-0 against Tolar since March of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Breckenridge Buckaroos will host the Tolar Rattlers at 5:00 p.m. Breckenridge is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.3 runs per game this season.
Breckenridge's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Comanche 1-0. The one-run effort marked the Buckaroos' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

The result came thanks to Olyvia Perez's shutout, as she gave up just five hits and racked up 13 Ks. Those 13 strikeouts gave her a new career-high.
At the plate, Breckenridge's victory was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Joni Jackson, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.
Meanwhile, after only one run in their last game, Tolar made sure to put some runs up on the board against Dublin on Wednesday. Everything went Tolar's way against Dublin as Tolar made off with a 15-0 win. Considering the Rattlers have won seven matchups by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
Lillie Uselton made a splash no matter where she played. She pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Uselton was also big at the plate, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one double and one RBI.
In other batting news, Allyson Dobbs and Senne Imel did most of the damage at the plate: Dobbs scored three runs and stole Two bases. while going 3-for-3, while Imel scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3. Dobbs also put up a triple, which was her first of the season. Ava Massey was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2.
Tolar kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. They are 4-1 when they post 11 or more hits.
Tolar is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. Breckenridge pushed their record up to 5-7-1 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.
Both Breckenridge and Tolar just can't seem to miss. Breckenridge has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 10 hits per game. However, it's not like Tolar struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 5.6 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Breckenridge was able to grind out a solid win over Tolar in their previous matchup back in April of 2019, winning 12-9. Will Breckenridge repeat their success, or does Tolar have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
