It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the West Henderson Falcons had no problem doing just that on Friday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 37-7 victory over East Lincoln. The win was just business as usual for West Henderson, who after 12 games remain undefeated this season.
Carson Dimsdale continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 187 yards and three touchdowns. Dimsdale is absolutely dominating the rushing yard category: he's posted at least 100 every time he's taken the field this season.
On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to West Henderson's defense and their five sacks. Gaige Watson was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two sacks himself.
West Henderson pushed their record up to 12-0 with that win, which was their seventh straight at home. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 0-10 East Henderson and 2-8 Franklin (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 38.7% over those games). As for East Lincoln, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-4.
West Henderson has the luxury of staying home another week and will welcome Oak Grove at 7:00 p.m. on November 17th. Oak Grove is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last ten games. East Lincoln does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
