Brayden Thompson gave up the fewest earned runs he has since back in February on Tuesday. As a matter of fact, he turned in his biggest game of the season, striking out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances.

Thompson's strong effort led New Albany over Byhalia and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
